NEEDS ANALYSIS
Media Recommendation
This custom media project was part of a larger certificate prep course I designed for a community college. I began by consulting a subject matter expert to establish the learning outcomes and objectives, I recommended that we create an interactive learning object to engage the learners in an area they struggle to understand or find difficult to apply in an online learning environment.
DESIGN
Storyboard
Next, I collaborated with the project team to create a storyboard that outlines all the on-screen text, audio narration script, and images and videos for each slide in three scenario-based activities. The instructional strategies include problem solving and real-world application.
DEVELOPMENT
Articulate Storyline
Finally, I worked closely with a lead learning experience designer to bring the storyboard to life by developing a three-part interactive learning experience in Articulate Storyline. Interactive elements include knowledge check, scenarios (non-branching), tabbed interaction, and video. After several rounds of quality assurance reviews, the three activities were embedded in different modules throughout the course in Canvas.
